Since the glory of God is the chief end of man and the glory of God is revealed in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we should seek to delight in, declare, and display the gospel in every area of life. I started a blog as an attempt to take seriously this calling in my life and ministry with the goal of helping others do the same. I am not an expert, but a practitioner. I believe that by working out what God is doing in and through us, we can benefit one another in the process. I want to invite you to join me in this pursuit as I address issues like…
- Making Disciples: Nothing is more needed today than raising up the next generation of disciple-makers. We cannot afford to maintain ministries and entertain millennials. We must come alongside the next generation, speak to the issues they face, and equip them to make disciples who delight in, declare, and display the gospel in all of life and to the ends of the earth.
- Engaging Culture: Jesus calls us to be in the world but not of it. We need to live with eyes wide open to the culture in which we live, not shy away from the challenges or opportunities presented to bear witness to the gospel. As we engage our culture, we seek to speak with a clear and compelling voice that sacrifices neither kindness or truth.
- Church Planting Process: The gospel advances as churches plants churches. I am in the process of preparing for church planting through my local church and in partnership with other like minded churches. I will be sharing how God shapes and develops me as a church planter and our church planting team in the process.
I would love for you to join me on this journey by signing up for the Declare & Display email list. Everyone who signs up by March 14 will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of Jeff Vanderstelt’s newest book Gospel Fluency.
